2017 KLF Schedule

We have released our schedule for this year’s event. There is a great lineup of talks spread out over two days in three simultaneous rooms!

This year starts off on Friday night with a movie showing of The Internet’s Own Boy in room AH 200;  we hope to see you there!

Saturday morning begins with check-in at 8:30 (we need a good head count).  Our welcome table will host check-in as well as sale of raffle tickets and t-shirts. We jump right in with three amazing presentations at 9:30 and follow up with a keynote presented by EFF’s Aaron Mackey on government and open data  at 10:30.

There will be an extended break for lunch, socializing, and buying raffle tickets and t-shirts!  Food trucks will be available near our venue; check our map for details.

After lunch be ready for a selection of nine more great talks covering a wide range of subjects to keep you interested!  Throughout the fest we will have 15 minute breaks in between each of the talks to allow time for networking and discussion of topics on a more on-to-one level.

Saturday’s official festivities round out with our raffle giveaway and lightning talks. If you aren’t up for a full presentation, but would like to get people thinking, bring with some ideas to throw out!

After Saturday’s official events join us to talk, eat and/or drink at an open meetup in a fun atmosphere at Headshots Bar &Grill.

We know you’ll be back for Sunday, because Kansas Linux Fest isn’t over! We are prepared to offer you up to 9 more excellent talks followed by a relaxed social time to network and discuss ideas that naturally come from a great event like this!

Slight modifications to the schedule may take place as we near the final weekend, so check back for the most up-to-date information.
